Job Description

Location: Bayan Lepas
Salary : RM7500 – RM10000

Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Software Programming and Development
-8 years experience in engineering technical and team management
-Skilled in C++ or C# programming with knowledge in machine vision/image processing/motion control
-Required to have project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
-Fluent in Mandarin & English

Understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practice
– Familiar with all policies, procedures and technical issues related to software programming
– Familiar with a variety of programming languages, codes and processes
– Possess in-depth understanding of process and application lifecycles

Coordinate with engineering, sales and application groups to address customer requirements or reported software related issues
-Involve in requirements analysis to do feasibility assessment of the target development and identify the implementation constrains
-Identify functional requirement and perform architectural analysis to propose appropriate software design concepts
-Determine the need for customization and to come up with customized solutions
-Review software requirement specifications, overseeing code reviews and maintaining adherence to software configuration management plans
-Assist in determining appropriate development environments and managing staff appropriately
-Ensure team members have access to required resources (e.g. computing systems, development tools and communication, etc.) to perform their tasks
-Advice on the use of proprietary software packages and development techniques
-Supervise, guide, lead and coach subordinates and consult other technical staff to provide technical direction in software development process
-Analyze ongoing performance and limitations of software product to provide innovations to improve software usability and performance
-Work collaboratively with software and testing engineers to deliver reliable, mission critical software as well as cross functional teams to work on assigned projects effectively
-Monitor the performance of subordinates and provide appropriate mentoring or training programs as needed to improve their performance
-Work collaboratively with Human Resource Department in recruiting and hiring process of software developers to ensure that they have required skills to perform tasks of a Software Developer
-Evaluate and review employees performance, sets expectations and goals for department and individual staff members
-Ensure the quality management system conforms to the requirements of this International Standard
-Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization
-Ensure subordinates receive proper mentoring, training and processes to fill in their performance gap in order to excel in their roles in the future
-Implement continuous improvement efforts to ensure continuous quality and customer satisfaction improvement
-Keep abreast to both real-time embedded software for intelligent devices and software development by attending educational training or professional conferences
– Ensure the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes were planned and implemented to the system
– Undertake other related tasks and duties as assigned by superior
